Talk:List of educational institutions in Meerut district

I propose that this article be moved to the main wikipedia but am not sure what it should be named:

• List of Higher Education/Educational Institutes/Institutions in Meerut

Or should the list of schools also be added to the same article and it be named:

• List of Education/Educational Institutes/Institutions in Meerut

Or should the article be named Education in Meerut in view of further expansion potential?

Please discuss. If nobody has any problems(No Negative replies/No replies to this), I will move the page to the main wikipedia by 3 april, 2011.--Siddhartha Ghai (talk) 11:38, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

The wrong part is that the list includes not only colleges, but also universities. Plus, the reason I originally created this article was that people kept adding this list to the Meerut article. If I add just colleges to this article, people might continue to add school names to either meerut or this article. Then, ultimately, we'll either have to rename this article or keep deleting the list which will keep appearing.

Then someday, I might have to start an article "List of Schools in Meerut" and then it will be recommended that the 2 articles be merged.

So, what's the point in going the long way?

Also, as User:Ekabhishek said here, shouldn't it be named "List of educational institutions in Meerut", which would include schools?

PS: Some schools already have articles of their own, albeit stubs( See Category:Education in Meerut)

I concur with User:RHaworth. Move it straightaway. Just fix some of the citation needed links.
